Our story
Real chef. Real kitchen. Real 15 minutes.
Forkstead started because dual-income parents kept getting burned by the meal-kit time lie.
The box arrives. The recipe says 30 minutes. Reality says 50. The problem is the part every other meal kit skips: the chef's actual prep work.
We fixed it. Our executive chef finishes every recipe in a licensed commissary kitchen before it ships. Marinated proteins, reduced sauces, prepped vegetables. You assemble and heat.
That's the whole idea. The chef does the cooking. You finish it. Dinner on the table in 15 minutes, on a Tuesday, without the mise en place.
"It's closer to a restaurant meal you finish at home. Worth every dollar."

The commissary kitchen.
Every Tuesday, our standing ingredient order goes to the kitchen. Wednesday and Thursday, our executive chef and two prep cooks spend the day finishing every recipe on the week's menu. Friday morning the cold chain packs. Sunday before noon, it's at your door.
There's no shortcut in that schedule. The only way to get dinner on your table in 15 minutes is to have someone else do the first 35.
What subscribers say.
"We tried HelloFresh for six months and never once hit the 30-minute promise. Forkstead is genuinely 15 minutes. The chicken thighs are marinated and ready, the sauce is done. I just heat and plate. My kids ask when the box comes every week now."
Sarah M."Knowing there's an actual executive chef who finished every recipe in a real kitchen changes how this tastes. It's not a recipe card with raw ingredients. It's closer to a restaurant meal you finish at home. Worth every dollar."
David K."Two kids under 8, both work full time, ordering takeout three nights a week. Forkstead cut that to one night. The food is that good and that fast. We're on the Founding Member plan and have no plans to leave."
